• High Watt Density Cartridge Heaters are designed for maximum watt density, temperature, heat transfer and heater life.
• The Superwatt cartridge heater acceleratres the transfer of heat from the resistance wire to the sheath to prolong heat life. The wire is relocated closer to the sheath to make this possible. The outside diameter of the heater is also swaged, compressing the magnesium oxide filler to that it becomes an improved conductor of heat frm the wire while maintaining its dielectric properties.
• By improving the heat transfer rate, it is possible to manufacture elements of higher densities because the differential between the wire temperature and the sheath temperature has been minimized.
