Mineral Insulated band heaters are great for applications which require high watt densities and/or high operating temperatures. Mineral insulated band heaters are capable of reaching 1400ºF (760ºC) and watt densities up to 150watts/in² (23.25 watts/cm²). High temperature, long operating life, and rapid heat-up are benefits of mineral insulated band heaters.


Applications:

• Processes with heat range requirements up to 1400ºF and watt densities of 100 watts/ in².
• Higher heat transfer rates than mica or ceramic band heaters.
• Can be completely sealed to prevent contamination in severe environments.
• Ideal for injection molding and extrusion of engineering grade resins.
• Offer rapid heat-up, reduced failuresand may allow for reducing the physical size or number of heaters needed for an application.
