Ceramic Insulated Band Heaters

Ceramic heaters are medium to high temperature band heaters with 1200ºF as a maximum working temperature. They are durable and have built-in ceramic fiber jackets which make them energy efficient. Ceramic heaters are available with different terminal styles, are fully flexible, and can accommodate holes and cutouts.

Applications:

- Processes with heat range requirements up to 1200ºF at 500 watts/in. ²
- High dielectric strength, superior to other insulation at over 300 volts
- Unaffected by expansion of cylinder being heated
- Easy to install- open up and wrap around cylinder
- Wire processing- both radiant heat and conduction
- Plastic injection molding and extrusion barrels and dies
- Metal injection molding

Heat is transferred from the heater to the surface of an application via conduction or radiation.
