Screw Plug Immersion Heaters
Used by the process heat industry for a wide range of applications, screwplug heaters feature a broad selection of screw plug sizes, wattages, materials and junction box types. Screw plug heaters may be threaded directly into sufficient tank wall or used with a companion coupling. For optimum performance of a screwplug heater- appropriate sheath material, size, watt density, terminal box option, and temperature control need to be appropriately selected.
Custom Screwplug heaters can be made with special wattage and voltage and a wide variety of sizes in as little as 5-10 working days depending on size and requirements of the heater.
Common Applications by Sheath Material
Hot water storage, part washing or rinsing, freeze protection of sprinkler systems and cooling towers.
304 Stainless Steel- Tanks/processes with tar, asphalt, wax, heat transfer fluids, oil,other petroleum products, fuel oil, alcohal, caustic, and other “heavy” mediums.
316 Stainless Steel- Detergent-based solutions, liquid ammonia, vegetable oil, Deionized water, other alkaline solutions.
Titanium- Seawater, brine, chromic acid, Deionized water.
Incoloy-Air, many gases, Deionized water and other high temperature processes.
(Fluoropolymer)Teflon®- Hydrofluoric acid, ammonia bi-fluoride, Deionized water.
