Over-the-Side Immersion Heaters

Over-the-side units are installed through the top of the vessel, with the heated section submerged in the liquid along the side or at the bottom of the tank. Natural convection circulation of the liquid makes even heat distribution possible. Standard options are available in a wide range of kilowatt ratings, shapes and mounting configurations, making them very versatile and easily used in many environments.

Available in a range of sheath materials:
  • Copper
  • Steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Cast iron
  • Incoloy
  • Titanium
  • Hastelloy
  • PTFE (fluoropolymer) coating.
  • Water, oil, solvents, plating baths, salts, and acids are some of the many liquids commonly heated by over-the-side immersion heaters. This type of heater offers portability, easy removal for cleaning, and ample working space within the vessel when installed.

If you're not sure which sheath material will work best with your chemical, you can Contact Us or try using our Compatibility Guide.
