Non- Expandable One-Piece Band Construction
The non-expandable design provides the most heated surface area. This style can only be used where it can be slipped over the end of the barrel. Features built-in full-width clamping bars. |
 |
Expandable One-piece Band Construction
The expandable one-piece design allows for easy placement along the machine barrel while minimizing the unheated area compared to a 2 piece band heater. This style is available with a dual voltage |
 |
Two-Piece Construction
Two-piece band heaters are ideal for applications where sliding the heater on the end of the barrel is difficult. Installation and removal takes minimal time and labor. Two-piece construction provides dual voltage capability. |
 |
Hinged Construction
The two-piece band heater is designed for applications where frequent installation and removal is necessary. The full-width hinge can be opened and closed as often as needed. The preferred method of clamping is latch and trunion. It is available with any screw terminal or lead wire variation. Watts and volts for each half must be determined when ordering. |

Cut-outs and Holes
The purpose of the holes and cutouts in the MI-Plus band heaters is for thermocouples and obstructions on the machine. These cutouts should be kept to a minimum. In most cases, an oversized gap can take care of the obstruction or thermocouple issue. The heated area is decreased with cutouts resulting in higher watt density. If holes and cutouts cannot be avoided, send us a detailed drawing with your request. |

Thermocouple and Bayonet Adaptors
Thermocoupling couples facilitate the installation of an external thermocouple with a threaded fitting.
The standard bayonet adaptor facilitates the installation of a thermocouple with a standard bayonet cap. The standard location is 90º from gap. |
